WebGL 1 and 2 not working

Reported by jacob.al...@gmail.com, Mar 24 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.98 Safari/537.36 OPR/44.0.2510.857

Example URL:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/mozilla-games/ZenGarden/EpicZenGarden.html

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Start any chromium 57 based browser
2. Go to a site that uses WebGL 1 or 2 (For example: https://s3.amazonaws.com/mozilla-games/ZenGarden/EpicZenGarden.html or https://playcanv.as/e/p/44MRmJRU/
3. Try to run it

What is the expected behavior?
The game should start playing

What went wrong?
Every site says that my browser doesent support WebGL...

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? Yes chromium 56

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 57.0.2987.110 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6

Issue 705066 has been merged into this issue.
Components: -Blink Blink>WebGL
Tried this on Ubuntu 14.04 (M57) and MacBook Pro (M57) both worked. The colourspace on my MacBook Pro seemed definitely different it was all white washed.

Status: Duplicate (was: Unconfirmed)
This is happening because of blacklisting of older NVIDIA GPUs that was done in Issue 676975 (sorry, still restricted access).

I'll try to relax the blacklisting in Issue 657817.

Submitter, you can try to work around this by launching Chrome from the command line and specifying:

--ignore-gpu-blacklist --use-gl=desktop

but I strongly recommend that you upgrade your hardware at this point.
