Chrome Version: 57.0.2987.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: (gMac) macOS 10.12.3 (16D32)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Retina MacBook Pro with an external 30" monitor
(2) Retina is primary, external is secondary
(3) secondary monitor has a full screen chrome window
(4) on primary display, create a chrome window with two tabs
(5) drag one tab to separate it into two windows on the primary display
What is the expected result?
A second window appears on the primary display (not full screen)
What happens instead?
A second window appears on the primary display (full screen)
ADDITIONAL INFORAMTION
this has been happening for a long time.
(SECOND BUG?) If you drag that tab to the secondary monitor (instead of primary) and release it, the primary monitor gets a full black screen. I have no idea what happens to the actual page.
I've been ignoring this bug for months and months, just assuming it would eventually get fixed. So it's not like it popped up yesterday.
