recipe roller: include roll hashes in commit subject |
||
Issue description
When I am looking at a log of recipes.cfg, all commits look the same ("Roll recipe dependencies (trivial)."), except the commit time. I have to guess where my roll took place by the commit time.
Please include commit hashes in the commit subject, e.g. "Roll recipes deadbeef, badcoffee".

maybe, but it wouldn't solve my problem. Actually what I've asked for wouldn't solve my problem either. I think `git log --grep` is the solution. |

, May 15 2017Hm.. I'm not sure if we want the hashes, or maybe just a count of the number of non-roll commits per repo? i.e Roll recipes (trivial) - {depot_tools: 2, recipe_engine: 1} That might be more informative than the commit hashes (which are in the roll message body).
