breakpoints disappear after refresh

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. build a project using karma and webpack2 
2. create a unit test
3. set a breaking point in this test
4. refresh and watch your lovely breakpoint gone. forever.

What is the expected behavior?
breakpoints should behave like soulmates they should never disappear. especially not after refresh.

What went wrong?
don't get me started...
