[A11y] Incorrect Initial focus in MD Settings when ChromeVox is enabled |

Issue description1. Enable ChromeVox (Ctrl+Alt+Z) 2. Navigate to chrome://md-settings Actual: Chromevox is focused on Page Zoom drop down Expected: Chromevox is focused on search box at top of document Only chromevox is affected by this. If CV is not on, then focus works as expected.

I've seen this bug in the past, but I was also seeing different results last Wednesday (in which cvox was starting at the right part of the page initially and respecting input[autofocus]). i'll investigate this, but with something odd like this (a <select> somehow magically getting focus halfway down the page on start) it kindddda seems like either: 1) we're populating the <select> dynamically and this is messing with cvox 2) a bug in cvox itself or some racy combo of these 2 issues

I'm no longer working on Chrome, and unlikely to fix any bug I'm currently assigned. So this bug doesn't languish, I'm unassigning myself.

Needs a repro with chrome://settings.

Chromevox focuses on the search box at the top of chrome://settings as of M73 at least. Closing as obsolete. |
