Rotating collections with hidden background for header/footer crashes

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open a MDCCollection with a header or a footer with empty background (for example ContentSuggestions)
(2) Rotate from landscape to portrait

What is the expected result?
Application crashes

What happens instead?
Should rotate
