Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/56.0.2924.76 Chrome/56.0.2924.76 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42908320/open-files-dialog-disappears-after-selecting-files-in-chrome-and-chromium What is the expected behavior? "Open Files dialog" should appear each time when clicked What went wrong? When clicking a select file(s) button a use is prompted with "Open Files dialog" -where he picks a file(s). After selecting the file(s) and clicking Open button, dialog closes (as expected) and application goes with the flow. However, next time user clicks the select file(s) button then Open Files dialog does not show! Problem repeats as soon as user click Open button after selecting file(s) and "selectfile directive" is addet to Preferences file. What is the solution for my problem ? Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 56.0.2924.76 Channel: n/a OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0 -Application works in Firefox. -Operating system that I am using is Ubuntu 16.04 -The same behavior repeats in Chrome -All browsers are up to date at this point of time (Chromium v56, Chrome v57) Fix: The closes that I get to the solution is investigating Preferences file where sites activity are stored. *~/.config/chromium/Default/Preferences* What seems to cause the problem is selectfile directive appended at the end of the Preferences file. This directive lists location of a directory where the last selected file was placed at. "selectfile": { "last_directory": "/home/lukas/Pictures/Sample/paired" } After removing this directive from Preferences file, application behaves normally and Open Files dialog appears as expected.

jmukthavaram@ I don't think it will be necessary anymore. It looks like chromium came back to correct behavior (I wonder what caused that). Lets close the ticket
