Go on slack or discord, highlight a word and click on search google, it breaks google search.

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.Go on slack or discord
2.Highlight a word and click on search google
3.Pay attention to the load screen, whole code is visible.

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?

Could you please provide the exact URL where the issue happens upon Search Google 'selected text'?

Please also check the same on the latest stable(57.0.2987.110) in incognito mode or in profile without any 3rd party extensions or apps.

this is the first one that pops up https://www.google.com/#q=Done

then it goes to. https://www.google.com/search?q=Done&cad=h

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-10 using chrome reported version #56.0.2924.87 and latest canary #59.0.3068.1.

Attached a screen cast for reference.

Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue.
------------
1. Navigated to https://www.google.com/#q=Done.
2. Observed that results of "done" were displayed and it did not get redirect to https://www.google.com/search?q=Done&cad=h.

No luck to reproduce this issue, Could you please recheck this issue by upgrading chrome to latest stable #58.0.3029.81 and kindly update the latest behavior.
