* Type "google.com<tab>a".  This should place you in tab-to-search mode and show some results.
* Now tab to a dropdown entry that's _not_ a Google search.  (For example, I have some calendar URLs that match against "google.com" and "a".)  This is important; tabbing to a Google search suggestion won't reproduce the bug.  The critical factor is that the keyword UI should not be showing.
* Now hit <esc>.  This resets back to before tabbing through the dropdown (a Google search for "a"), but the search query itself is not visible in the omnibox.  It should be.
