Chrome Tracing: IPC flow event lines jump around when scrolling

Project Member Reported by bokan@chromium.org, Mar 17 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version: 57.0.2987.98
OS: Linux

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open up a trace with IPC flow lines. I've attached the trace I used
(2) Find an IPC event on the browser main thread. In the video I'm looking at the MouseWheelEventQueue::TryForwardNextEventToRenderer at 1,980.027 ms
(3) Try to scroll down to the flow line's end

What is the expected result?
The line should stay aligned to the in/out events

What happens instead?
The line suddenly jumps up the screen once I've scrolled down enough, making it impossible to find the out event

I've also reproduced the issue in 58.0.3029.19. Scrolling up (but higher up than I started) will reset the line to the correct position. I've attached a video showing the issue.

Tim, does anyone monitor Speed>Tracing?

Do you know where to route this bug to?
I think this should be an issue here: https://github.com/catapult-project/catapult/issues, not in the chromium bug tracker.

I'm not sure if anyone monitors this.

Apply the "Trace Viewing" label. (https://github.com/catapult-project/catapult/labels/Trace%20Viewing)
