Max, can you please hunt the regresse and revert.
Sorry, I am traveling today and heading to airport soon. Just noticed you made a revert, let's move forward with that one.
Apologies for breaking things. We were trying to get good coverage on all the text codecs which have different behavior (i.e. some text is not interesting on all fuzzers).
This was proposed by aizatsky@ and myself to split the target. There is no fault of csharrison@ :)
I still believe that we should split the targets, but looks like we have to resolve issue 701825 first.
Seed corpus takes only 70KB when archived. When multiplied by 42, it's smaller than 3MB.
AFL builds are crazy large. In issue 701825 we note that unpacked AFL build takes 27.8 GB. But with these 42 new targets, it becomes 68.1 GB when unpacked (+40 GB).
For libFuzzer, unpacked build size jumps from 20.0 GB to 49.6 GB (+30 GB).
Did the revert fix the issue? Is there a way to land these targets without breaking the infra?
If 42 targets is unreasonable we should probably just land a subset.
Yes, the revert fixed the issue, though we also had to restart the bots.
I think it would be fine to proceed with 1-2 most important encodings for now (at least UTF-8, I guess?). All the rest can be landed only when address issue 701825 :(
