The new tab page now shows the page title on the tabs chrome://newtab instead of New Tab

Reported by nmc...@gmail.com, Mar 17 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open a new tab
2. Look up at the tabs
3. There it is

What is the expected behavior?
The tab title should show the text New Tab

What went wrong?
When ever I open new tab, it shows the tab title New Tab for a split second and then it goes to show chrome://newtab .

Did this work before? Yes Chrome 55

Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6
Flash Version: unknown

Using view-source shows the correct title. You could try using <title> to fix that problem.
