Pressing reset pose button in Magic Window sometimes centers content behind viewer when in portrait mode

Project Member Reported by dbbrooks@chromium.org, Mar 15 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version: 58.0.3029.21
OS: Pixel (likely all devices)
VRCore: 1.3.149854881

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) go to https://webvr.info/samples/03-vr-presentation.html
(2) rotate phone so content is in portrait mode. (phone is held in a vertical position)
(3) turn phone and hit reset pose.

What is the expected result? content is always centered when hitting reset pose.

What happens instead? At some point if repeating step 3, the content is centered behind the viewer. Does not happen every time, but is easily reproducible.

Note that this does not occur when the content is in landscape view mode. (Phone is held horizontally.)

This is a Daydream bug, if anything. I expect they'll say WAI because they don't officially support portrait viewing as far as I know - magic window in general is something that doesn't get a lot of love from them.

Reset pose is also going to be removed from the spec, so I wouldn't worry about this either way.
Looks like the reset page button was just removed from that test page (58.0.3029.33). Is that expected?
Yes, we removed it because we're planning on deprecating the feature and don't want to encourage developers to rely on it.
