Crash when searching page with ctrl+f

Project Member Reported by ericdl@google.com, Mar 15 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version : 56.0.2924.101
OS Version: 9000.87.0
URLs (if applicable) :
x1 some numpy documentation page (crashed without saving the URL, don't remember what it was)
x3 Google-internal list of tensorflow functions (go/tf-ops)

Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari 5:
  Firefox 4.x:
     IE 7/8/9:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to website (via bookmark or google search so far)
2. Hit ctrl+f to search text
3. Start typing (not sure if this needs to happen)

What is the expected result?
Regular search behaviour: search box appears, text matches highlighted, jump to first match etc.

What happens instead of that?
The chromebook shuts off. This is not reliably reproducible. Happens maybe 10% of the time so far.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

This has only happened today. It happened 3 times on an older Chrome OS version then I updated and it happened again on the latest version.]
I hadn't updated ChromeOS for at least several weeks before that one update so I'm not aware of any changes between yesterday and today.

UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9000.87.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.101 Safari/537.36

I'm able to reliably reproduce the crash with < 10 repetitions of: load page & search for text.

I am unable to reproduce the crash on another Chromebook (same model) with the following info:
Chrome version: 55.0.2883.105
OS Version: 8872.76.0
Labels: Needs-Feedback
Can you attach the crash report IDs?

Comment 3 by ericdl@google.com, Mar 20 2017

I'm not aware of any crash reports other than this one - although "Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports to Google" is checked so perhaps there are automatically generated reports that I'm not aware of. Where can I find these crash report IDs? (I've tried to find info on https://www.chromium.org/chromium-os/packages/crash-reporting but it doesn't seem applicable when I don't have a shell / developer mode).
