Issue descriptionChrome Version:59.0.3042.0 (Official Build) 8fdbfb2484873d09de132e051da87e580382f95b-refs/heads/master@{#456934} OS: Mac (10.11.6,10.12.1) What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch chrome and navigate to https://permission.site/ 2. Click on ‘Auto Download’ button ,’Allow it (such that Auto Download icon is seen in omnibox ) and then click ‘Popup (delayed 2 seconds) button 3. Immediately click on Auto Download icon in omnibox ( ‘Auto Download’ bubble should be seen before popup blocker icon/animation is seen)(Refer screencast) 4. Observe Auto Download bubble. Actual: Auto Download bubble is seen misaligned after step 3. Expected: Auto Download bubble should be at proper location/position. This is regression issue, broken in ‘M 58’ and below is manual bisect info: Good build:58.0.3028.0 Bad build:58.0.3029.0 Note: Issue is not seen on Windows and Linux OS.

This is a long existing issue with other permission types (you can do exactly the same steps with Location permission). This is purely a race because you have the auto downloads bubble open and then the popup is triggered, which slides in the popup action. Having the bubble move from underneath you after it's open is definitely an anti pattern. Arguably, the right fix is that the pop up blocked animation should not happen if any content setting page action has a menu open. Removing RBS and dropping to P2.

This is pre-Harmony, so obsolete. The new bubble is aligned with the edge of the omnibox as intended. |
