Download progress from one Chrome window shown on all taskbar icons |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 56.0.2924.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) OS: Windows 10 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Have several different Chrome windows open. In my case, 3 separate profiles + an app running in a window. (2) Download something that takes long enough to download such that you can take a screenshot. :) (3) Observe the Windows Task Bar. What is the expected result? That the download progress indicator should show in the relevant task bar icon *only*. What happens instead? All Chrome window icons show the download progress.

rpop, do you know who worked on implementing download progress in the taskbar? I have no idea offhand.

asanka is my go-to for downloads. I also found Issue 97612 which looks like the same issue. Dupe? I would like to fix this, it is not an excellent UX...
