Site missing from LocalStorage after refresh or route change

Reported by bangsi...@gmail.com, Mar 14 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.98 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Dev Tools on a website ie. JsBin.com
2. Select Application -> LocalStorage
3. See if https://jsbin.com is present
4. If it is, Refresh page and the site will then be missing
5. If it is not present, go back to Step 1

Screen capture video - https://youtu.be/9SXbEwrjUqc

What is the expected behavior?
For the site data to be present in the LocalStorage section

What went wrong?
When the pages are refreshed the content is missing only closing and re-opening Dev Tools does it fix it until you need to refresh or change the route.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 57.0.2987.98 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.12.3
Flash Version:

Labels: Needs-Triage-M57

Status: Untriaged (was: Unconfirmed)
I can confirm the behavior in 58.0.3029.14 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) on Linux following the steps taken in the video on jsbin.

Any progress with this bug?

Reproduced it on Linux 59.0.3045.0 (Developer Build) (64-bit).

@bangsi - we haven't been able to take a look at this bug yet.

I can confirm this bug is also in Chrome 57.0.2987.98 Mac OS. I can also confirm that Local Storage, Session Storage and IndexedDB site data disappear after a page reload while the dev tools are open - note, site data is actually there but not displayed by the dev tools. Closing and re-opening the dev tools fixes that for now but it is a frustrating bug.
Bug verified also in Ubuntu 14.04 with Chrome 57.0.2987.110 (64-bit).

Same issue on Windows 10 with Chrome 57.0.2987.110 (64-bit) as well
Bug also verified in latest Opera version: 44.0.2510.857 in Mac OS X 10.11.5 64-bit.

Comment 11 by pst...@gmail.com, Mar 31 2017

Confirmed on
Version 57.0.2987.110 (64-bit)
OSX 10.11.6
Confirmed 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit) on Windows 7
Toggling the theme (dark -> light or light -> dark) seems to make it work fine for that one session.

I cannot replicate Comment_13 recommendation, the site is still missing from the sidepanel after refreshing after the theme change.

The same for me, switching between themes doesn't solve the problem.

PLEASE FIX THIS! Does this project have developers? I am just curious as to why there are so many outstanding bugs from Google.

I found out that:
- this bug impact the developer tools functionality only
- it is reproducible only when I have a page and inside a iframe (from here I create, update local storage)
- the data is accessible via localStorage object
