System active time for Kiosk |
|||||
Issue descriptionPlease see here - https://screenshot.googleplex.com/Wjh81R4MWqc As of today, 'Active Time' is misleading for Kiosk devices running 24x7. As per the description at https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/1698333?hl=en#devicedetails, it is 'when it was last used and for how long' For auto-launched Kiosk devices, it should be the up-time on a daily basis. This is probably affecting the 7DA reports for Kiosk devices in the CPanel as well.

Not sure what client changes are necessary yet, but ultimately this will get driven by Ivan so reassigning now.

The following revision refers to this bug: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src.git/+/945c444f7cad54e08c188d4d4744b344fc463bc5 commit 945c444f7cad54e08c188d4d4744b344fc463bc5 Author: isandrk <isandrk@chromium.org> Date: Wed May 10 11:16:29 2017 Fix system active time reporting for app kiosks Currently system active time is reported as the non-idle time, but for kiosks running 24x7 this is misleading since they usually run without any user interaction. Switch kiosks to report total uptime as the system active time. Krishna, would you be able to confirm that System active-time and 7DA reports are accurately reported in CPanel for devices running in auto-launched kiosk mode? Please mark it verified after your testing.
