Unable to print square brackets on german QWERTZ-Layout

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.98 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Switch to the QWERTZ-Layout
2. Open up the developer tools
3. Select the console tab
4. Use shortcut to print [ (ALT GR + 8) and/or ] (ALT GR + 9)

What is the expected behavior?
It should print the square brackets in my console.

What went wrong?
When hitting the shortcuts, it switches to the previous (ALT GR + 8) or the next (ALT GR + 9) tab.

Did this work before? Yes Any version before 57

Chrome version: 57.0.2987.98  Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)

For some reason the fix wasn't back-merged to the stable 57.
It's fixed in the next release 58.0.3006.0.
See  issue 685674 ,  issue 683140 .
