Search result is not updating when search edit field is modified.

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Chrome browser, write the search string in the url field.
2. On the result page, modify the search editable area and press enter.
3. Result not refreshed or not updated with new search string.

What is the expected behavior?
Expected refreshed result after step 2 (as mentioned above)

What went wrong?
Might be search edit area is not tracking with new data.

Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? N/A 

Does this work in other browsers? N/A

Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87  Channel: n/a

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-7 and Win-10 using chrome reported version #56.0.2924.87, latest stable #57.0.2987.98 and latest canary #59.0.3040.0.

Attached a screen cast for reference.

Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue.
------------
1. Opened chrome browser.
2. Wrote the search string in the url field.
3. On the result page, modified the search editable area and pressed enter.
4. Observed that the search results loaded with new results after step 3 as expected.

chanduyama@ - Could you please check this issue on latest stable #57.0.2987.98 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not.

The description in comment 0 is too vague for me to know what the reporter is reporting.  What search string?  Which field is the URL field?  Which result page?  What editable area?  Reporter, if you can reproduce this, please provide a screencast.
