[A11y Assessment - Omnibox] Issues changing zoom level through Chrome menu with ChromeVox |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 57.0.2955.0 OS: Chrome What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Enable ChromeVox (2) Press Alt E to get to the Chrome menu (3) Use ChromeVox to navigate to the zoom portion, and the buttons to adjust the zoom level Issues: 1) The sub heading "zoom" is not accessible. I just jump directly to the button to make text smaller 2) When accessing the button with a minus sign, I hear this spoken feedback: "make text smaller, ctrl plus, menu item 1 of 3". However this is very misleading. I'm sure what's happening is that it's reading the shortcut Ctrl + minus but since the minus sign isn't typically read, it just says ctrl plus (which is the exact opposite. Ctrl Plus makes things larger. Can we add in the written word minus to the label so that ChromeVox reads Ctrl Minus instead? This is even better than Ctrl Plus Minus, but if we need to do that, that's also okay (better than the current misleading way). 3) When I press enter to make the text smaller, I don't hear any verbalization of the percentage change. This visually changes on the screen and the percentage is updated. This should be a spoken alert. 4) When I navigate to the button to make text larger, and try to press Enter to actually make the text larger, it doesn't work. Instead, my focus is brought back to the Minus button and the text gets smaller. HOWEVER, if I press Search + Space to force click the button with ChromeVox, then it does work as expected. Seems like Enter is just doing something weird here.
