What went wrong? The rotated elements and their content disappears. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.12.0 Flash Version: Adding a translateZ(0) to the rotated elements let them stay painted on scroll down. The linked jsbin is the smallest reproducible snippet i could come up with.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Confirmed this reproduces on non-hi-dpi Win, but does not reproduce on hi-dpi win nor on MacBook Pro. I don't have non-retina Mac to verify. https://output.jsbin.com/dikequc/ Both stable 56.0.2924.87 and Canary 59.0.3039.0.

Additional note: on non-composited Canary (59.0.3042.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit)) the contents never appear, even before scrolling.

Assigning to flackr@ because he made the mistake of saying it looked interesting. However there is no compositing involved in the broken case, so it doesn't really feel like a threaded-rendering bug to me.
