Issue descriptionChrome Version: 59.0.3037.0 (Official Build)Revision 9018c99b7f73801b958f5079f68a8fda1519f480-refs/heads/master@{#455955} (32/64-bit) OS:Windows(7,8,8.1,10) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Launch chrome, navigate to chrome://md-settings/manageLanguages page and select 'French' from 'All languages' list. (2)Click on iron icon of french and select 'display google chrome..' option, relaunch the browser. (3)Click on 'Advanced' button, scroll down the page and click on 'reset' option such that overlay appears. Actual: Localization is not applied for 'help make chrome better by...' under reset section. Expected: Localization should be applied for 'help make chrome better by...' under reset section. This is a regression issue broken in 'M59' and below is the manual regression range: Good Build: 59.0.3033.0 Bad Build: 59.0.3034.0 Note: Issue not seen on Mac & Linux OS.

When a string changes, it takes a while for translators to catch up and submit new translations. Until then, the English text is displayed by default. There is no need to file a bug for every string change, since there is no action item. |
