Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3033.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: At present I have to use external tools to do a global find and replace across multiple files. This is the most common function I do that can't be done in the dev tools. Great to see that the performace of the global search has improved... because I used to perform a lot of my searches with an external tool as well, whereas now the built in global search has great performance once the indexes are built. I was told that this is the place to request new feature? What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Feature is not yet available as far as I know. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 59.0.3033.0 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0

And most often I am doing global find and replaces that involve regular expressions and captures. So it would be good if that was allowed. I really like the global find and replace in Eclipse IDE.

We don't have plans to work on this in the upcoming year. If you think this feature is important and should be implemented, please re-file with justification. Thanks. |
