Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. set text-decoration: underline 2. Make sure the underlined text includes eg "q g y" . What is the expected behavior? There should be a nice outline as in Safari. The descenders should be spared. What went wrong? The poor descenders are rendered like "line-through", they're crossed out. Here's an image comparing the current rendering Chrome vs Safari: https://twitter.com/TobiReif/status/839764330715443202 Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.11.6 Flash Version:

Closing as WontFix as this is working as intended and is inline with the current spec https://drafts.csswg.org/css-text-decor-3/#line-decoration |
