Cannot Copy and Paste from chrome browser to other apps (such as Powerpoint)

Issue description
Chrome Version : 56.0.2924.87
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari: PASS (Version 10.0.3 (11602.4.8.0.1))
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Copy (edit-> copy or "command" + "c") a line of text from a website
(2) Attempt to paste (edit-> paste or "command" + "p") a line of text into another application (such as Microsoft Powerpoint)
What is the expected result?
The text is expected to paste into the other program
What happens instead?
With the above maneuvers, nothing happens...

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win-10 using chrome reported version #56.0.2924.87 and latest canary #59.0.3036.0. Attached a screen cast for reference. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Navigated to wikipedia.com and copied a text form that site. 2. Opened a power point slide and pasted that text into it. 3. Observed that the text got pasted in the slide as expected. Reporter@ - Could you please check this issue on latest canary #59.0.3036.0 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. Thanks...!!
