WebGL not working properly in M56 and M57 OS X

Project Member Reported by jif@chromium.org, Mar 6 2017

Issue description

Rendering of WebGL does not correctly work in many pages in M56/M57 (but works in M58). WebGL content appears either white (1), or very overexposed (2).

Example (1):
https://threejs.org/examples/#webgl_materials_lightmap

Example (2):
The header of https://acko.net/

I attached a screenshot showing (2) on M57 vs M58.

This happens on my desktop (ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB on macOS 10.12).

This seems like a duplicate of issue 666259 , but that should have been fixed in 57. Also similar to issue 648466 , but that was fixed even earlier.

In any case, Chrome 57 goes to stable way too soon for us to do any kind of mergeback AFAIK.
I can't repro on MacBookPro11,5 (AMD Radeon R9 M370X), though. Can you copy-paste the contents of about:gpu here in case there was a bug here that wasn't known?
