console affected by the zoom when the device toolbar is activated.

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2840.71 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open the developper console with F12
2. Toggle device toolbar (whatever device)
3. The zoom in (or out) using Ctrl+ / Ctrl-

What is the expected behavior?
Nothing as in the menu (since the zoom is controlled by a drop-down menu).

What went wrong?
The whole page is zoom in (or out) including the console.

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 54.0.2840.71  Channel: stable
OS Version: Ubuntu 16.04
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0

our zoom behavior is different here but i dont think we have a new bug really.

if your focus is on the page then you will probably see the Zoom popup in the rightside of the omnibox saying "110%, 125%" etc.. however visually nothing changes.
If your focus is in the devtools (either the device toolbar or otherwise), then you will zoom the devtools UI. However while this happens the page itself shouldn't change its zoom. They function separately.


We're happy with this behavior. I suppose the only confusing thing is where focus is left, as that changes quite a lot.

I was confused by the focus as you pinpointed it. This issue can be closed.
