Gifs save as still images

Issue descriptionExample URL: www.giphy.com Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Press and hold to save gif to camera roll 2. Post gif to website or text message 3. Gif does not animate What is the expected behavior? Gif should animate What went wrong? It seems as though gifs are not being saved as actual gifs but rather as just the furst still image from the gif. Did this work before? Yes Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 56.0.2924.79 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10.2 Flash Version: don't know Contents of chrome://gpu: Works fine in safari

Thanks for reporting this. I think this is related to http://crbug.com/690355 Can you give me the app you are using to share the gif?

I was meaning "the name of the app you are using to share the gif". In particular, if you are using Photos (default iOS app) or another app.

M57 is released and I think this bug is fixed with http://crbug.com/690355 . I am closing this issue, please re-open if the bug still exist after upgrading Chrome to the latest version.
