Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://ppmroadmap.com/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Copy any URL 2. In Gmail on Chrome, try to insert as link, paste into email body, or paste into email subject 3. Nothing gets pasted I could not reproduce the steps above in Safari (i.e. it worked as expected). Note, I am able to paste URLs into new Chrome tabs without issue, as well as paste into any other document type. What is the expected behavior? Pasting URL as inserted link, plain ol' URL in email body, or pasting URL in email subject (just to test the paste) should paste something. What went wrong? Nothing gets pasted, so I cannot add a URL to any Gmail message. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Yes Not sure what version but it worked earlier this week. Maybe newer version of Chrome was installed in background. Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.12.3 Flash Version: 24.0.0.221 Appears similar to this issue (since fixed) https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=618771

Hi there, sorry for the late response. I restarted my laptop (separate from testing this issue) and the problem went away, so I never got the point of testing on Canary. Wish I had more details to help you, but the issue was real when at that time.
