Submitted password form not recognised on europcar.de |
|||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 56.0.2924.87 (Official Build) (64-bit) OS: GNU/Linux (Ubuntu) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Go to europcar.de. (2) Click Mein Europcar, fill in valid credentials, submit by clicking another "Mein Europcar" button below the form. What is the expected result? Chrome offers to save the password. What happens instead? Chrome does not offer to save the password. Password manager internals log attached. It seems that PasswordManager::ProvisionallySavePassword does not recognise the submitted form as one of the rendered ones.

At this point, certificate of this site is invalid. The password manager isn't intended to work on such sites. We re-considering this limitation. Re-assigning to another META bug - Issue 805421 Manual fallback for saving doesn't work. Perhaps such cases worth a separate meta bug.

the certificate is actually invalid only from M66. see https://security.googleblog.com/2017/09/chromes-plan-to-distrust-symantec.html I managed to test the issue on Windows Canary. Password saving works fine on the login form. |
