Reported by g.armani...@gmail.com, Mar 3 2017

Issue description

This template is ONLY for reporting privacy issues. Please use a different
template for other types of bug reports.

Please see http://www.chromium.org/Home/chromium-privacy for further
information.

PRIVACY ISSUE
Please provide a brief summary of the privacy issue.
Receiving emails for an address which differs by one character. I am receiving private emails for garmanious@gmail.com when my email address is in fact g.armanious@gmail.com. The nature of these emails is private with SAT login information and High school diploma information from Old Bridge High School. Emails sent by three different staff users from: mailer@email.naviance.com

VERSION:
Chrome Version: Version 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit) + stable
Operating System: OS X 10.11.6 (15G1217)

REPRODUCTION STEPS
Replicated 4x as shown in screenshot attached, I cannot replicate the problem unless an email is sent to Gabriella Armanious. This issue affects the privacy of Gabriella Armanious, by providing me, Gareth Armanious with private emails, login information and detailed personal records. I have not used the email sent in error to access any of her information.

Hi, I'm not from the Chromium project nor work at Google but this question might be better fit for the Gmail forum here: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/gmail

AFAIK Gmail doesn't differentiate emails based on the dot character as explained here: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10313?hl=en
And here: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7436150

Based on the example an email such as johnsmith@gmail.com and john.smith@gmail.com are the same person.

So, either the email you got was sent to the wrong address, it was a Gmail mistake or spam.

Try going to the Gmail forums for help on whether it was the first or the second ones.
