Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36 Example URL: drive.google.com Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Upload a large file or folder to Google Drive What is the expected behavior? The circular progress indicator for the specific file or folder within Google Drive should be changing in real time, according to how much data has actually sent. What went wrong? Instead, the progress indicator never shows any progress until it's completely uploaded--to "refresh" and see how much of the file has been actually partially uploaded, the user must click the name of the file or folder that's being uploaded in the interface. Does it occur on multiple sites: No Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? Yes Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.12.3 Flash Version:

Below is a link to a screencast. I uploaded a 660.3 MB file to Google Drive via Chrome over about 10 minutes, and the circular indicator in the bottom-right never shows any progress until the upload has completed. The progress indicator used to display correctly, but I've only noticed this issue within the past few months. One other detail that might be relevant is that I'm uploading not from an HFS Plus drive, but from an SMB server share. The SMB version is 3.02. In case any metadata isn't coming through for this comment, this is Chrome 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit) on macOS Sierra 10.12.3 (16D32). https://youtu.be/Jdzs1yokjFY

Closing bug since internal bug was opened and isn't an issue with Chrome but the site. |
