Update chrome logo branding in several places

Project Member Reported by ma...@chromium.org, Mar 1 2017

Issue description

chrome://version
chrome://apps
ChromeOS setup screen all use the old logo.

We should use the new logo (both old and new are attached).

The new logo is already used as part of Chrome WebUI, so no added binary size.

I don't understand this bug. What is wrong with the logo we're currently using? What distinguishes the "new" and "old"? The main difference I see is that one is 32px tall and the other is 22.
The "old" logo is not up-to-date with the current branding.

They are typographically different. At a glance I see different spacing and a different font weight (actually maybe even a different font family entirely).

Hi Evan, sorry for the different screenshots.

Compare logo.png above (actual) and chromium_version.png (attached to this comment) to see the difference. I believe there's a new branding that started recently (product_logo_name_22.png is used in the fairly recent MD User Manager.

I'm sorry, I'm still confused. Can you tell me what the difference I'm not seeing is (besides the horizontal alignment and the chromium/chrome distinction)? What is the new branding?

The only difference I see is size, and it's normal that we'd use different size logos in different parts of UI.

I see a difference in the padding between the logo and the name, as well as the font being different (look at the "c" and "e").

+bbergher to confirm
FWIW I'm now almost positive the old one is Open Sans and fairly confident the new one is Product Sans. Different font families.
Yes, the wordmark is now in Product Sans, and the spacing is a bit looser.
ah ok. But in the CL, you're also changing the size, are you not? i.e. where you're changing out the logo, the logo and text are both getting smaller.

Fair point

There are 3 locations where the previous logo showed up and would now be updated:
* NTP4 (chrome://apps): I've attached a screenshot and I think it looks fine.
* About version: See screen shot above I think it looks fine.
* CrOS OOBE login screen: I've reached out for instructions on how to test this screen.

I don't think that screenshot looks good. I think we should just update the logo to the new version instead of using the wrong size one that's already been updated.
Here is the before shot for comparison.

Bruno, could you provide some guidance as to what we should do. The "new-style" logo is already in chrome resources at 22px high (MD user manager). Should we make a "new-style" 32px version to replace the outgoing logo attached here (in chrome://apps, chrome://version and CrOS out of box experience - still trying to find a screenshot of this)?

The new size looks good to me, we should keep it. Mathieu, can we please just make sure to vertically center the logo in the container for the screenshot? With that we should be good to go.
Here's the Chrome OS login screen with the new logo, which looks fine in my opinion.

I'll look at the alignment for chrome://apps

Note that ChromeOS is deprecating this flow in favor of a MD flow which has no such logo. But "[they] still want the old one to be functional for several devices that are not supported in MD version"
Here's the corrected version, vertically aligned.
