Flash set to "ask" gets permanently enabled |
||
Issue descriptionI am relaying feedback from a user that was sent to me via email. Tommy can you please take a look - maybe it's duplicate of existing issue or wai. I don't know if this is the UI for permanent allow or if this is something that is indeed a bug. I wanted to contribute with some info about the "ask" option that stopped working for me today. I was on a page and was about to right click -> Run flash on a flash box. This time a question appeared from the "Secure" icon (left side of address bar) asking for permission to run flash. I have never seen that, but figured it was something new and clicked allowed. From then on, flash is never blocked when "ask" option is active. Hope this helps, I really want the "ask" option to work as before!

This is working as intended. Once the user Allows flash for a specific domain, it's Allowed forever. An site-specific exception is added for that domain as ALLOW. This is how all the other permissions (Geolocation, Camera, etc.) work also. If you want to rescind your permission, click that secure icon in the omnibox, and change the Flash setting in the dropdown back to Ask.

Hi! This is NOT working as you describe. I DID change the Flash setting in the dropdown back to Ask. But the browser is still acting as if the setting is Allowed. What is worse, it is allowing flash on every single site/page/domain I visit. Can I prove or test this to you in any way, just let me know, but please take this bug seriously. |
