Copy from SecureShell app no longer works

Chrome Version: 58.0.3021.3 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)
OS: Chrome OS 9313.1.0 (Official Build) dev-channel samus

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open SecureShell app. (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/secure-shell/pnhechapfaindjhompbnflcldabbghjo)
(2) Select text in the window. App will display "Selection copied"
(3) Paste text elsewhere in Chrome.

What is the expected result?
Selected text is pasted.

What happens instead?
Previous clipboard contents are pasted.

This may be a dup of 
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=697136 which I filed for SshInA* - same breakage in a different chromium-hterm app, both showed up in recent builds.
