Chrome says it needs to update; I update it, it does not update

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:

What is the expected behavior?
Chrome will continue to tell me that I need to update it and, after correctly completing the updating process, it will still say my version of Chrome does not work.

What went wrong?
Chrome will not update.

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 51.0.2704.103  Channel: n/a
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0

acdevenport@ Could you please uninstall the old chrome as per https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95319?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en and re-install the chrome from https://www.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel and let us know if the issue is still exists on latest versions.
