Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Start selecting some text in the scrollable element. 2. Scroll down in the element with the text still selected. 3. Drag the text selector further. What is the expected behavior? The selection will only increase on the end you drag the text selector further and will not increase in the direction of where you started the selection. What went wrong? All of the preceding text in the element will get selected and the selection will even 'pop' out of the scrollable element and select text in the parent element. The attached screenshots show (1) the initial state, (2) selecting some text in the scrollable element, (3) scrolling down in the element with the text still selected and (4) selecting some more text and the problem: the selection pops over to the parent element. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 55.0.2883.91 Channel: stable OS Version: 7.1 Flash Version: none All of this is only a problem on Android.

In Desktop, this is correctly handled by AutoScrollController.cpp in case of mouse. In Android Gesture handler has to correctly call this method. That's missing currently in Chromium. Needs to see how we can plug in correctly this logic to GestureManager. Will look into it.

For note: With mouse this issue is not observed in Android Chromium. Only with touch text selection only this issue is seen.
