FR - Prevent device from sleeping policy |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionThis is a Feature Request. Environment: Chrome OS Laptop Citrix Healthcast Cerner EMR Use case and requirement: To keep the device from sleeping when the screen is closed in order to keep application sessions open. In the Windows environment, there is a configuration that allows for this. What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is it? When the device sleeps, the session keep alives stop. When the laptop is opened, it requires the entire re-authentication process to bring the nurse/doctor/clinician back to the screen they were working on.

Please add the following feature to Chrome Enterprise Management: On Lid Close keep awake ( i.e. keep power on and network connection live ) This will speed up workflow in healthcare during a Citrix session as the user can move around from room to room and open up instantly to where they left off.

Agreed that the policy request seems to be the same thing that's tracked by issue 752153 -- thanks! This can be configured by users via chrome://settings/power. |
