After www redirect, console message sometimes doesn't show up |

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 56.0.2924.87 OS: Linux What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Visit https://www.kubernetes.io, or another site www.<domain>.com with a certificate that is valid for <domain>.com. (2) Observe that you get redirected to https://kubernetes.io (or https://<domain>.com). (3) Open DevTools and look in the console for a message "Redirecting navigation..." What is the expected result? The console message is there. What happens instead? The console message is sometimes not there. Seems nondeterministic? When I follow the repro steps in a new tab, however, the message seems to reliably not be there when I open devtools after the navigation finishes.

Re #2: yeah, it repros for me in incognito, if I open incognito, open devtools, and type "www.kubernetes.io", I don't see the console message.

We just realized that this is because when you type "www.kubernetes.io", you go to http://www.kubernetes.io you get a properly configured HTTP redirect to https://kubernetes.io, so the interstitial www redirect isn't kicking in. Nothing to see here. |
