click on google sites icon in google products and it just takes you to main homescreen

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/products/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. go to url https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/products/ 2. click on google sites link 3. then it takes you to google homepage What is the expected behavior? should take you to google sites www.google.com/sites/overview.html What went wrong? Looks like somethings up with the code. There is the screen shot. also noticed a bug saying Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Request scheme 'chrome-extension' is unsupported at newtab-serviceworker.js:61 (anonymous) @ newtab-serviceworker.js:61 Does it occur on multiple sites: No Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? Yes a month ago is the last time i tried it Does this work in other browsers? No I tried internet explorer Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 not sure if this dev tools app is getting in the way it seems like it messes with the code and creates a lot of bugs this is the second time dev tools has created a problem or bug in the code.

Able to reproduce the issue on windows 7, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.12.3 using chrome version 56.0.2924.87 and canary 58.0.3025.5. This is non regression issue as the issue seen from M40 old builds. Marking it as Untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks,

www.google.com/sites/overview.html isn't a thing, try navigating there manually. |
