Like reported in  crbug.com/656430 , the Gallery (photo viewer) app can have visible amout of latency to display a large image when an image file is very large, due to long rendering time after loading a file to memory.
It'd be nicer to have the image rendered before actually displayed, while the user is watching the previous image.
