Issue description
Chrome Version : 58.0.3023.0
OS Version: OS X 10.12.3
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Chrome 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit): OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Chrome Canary on Mac OS (First install in this case)
2. Play some sound content (youtube / soundcloud etc.)
3. Connect external Soundcard (in this case Scarlett Focusrite 2i4)
What is the expected result?
Sound continues to play through speakers connected to external soundcard.
What happens instead of that?
Sound plays fine through internal speakers until external soundcard is connected. Then all Chrome Canary sounds stop (streams do not pause though). All other sound sources continue to run fine (example iTunes). Issue not present in normal Chrome.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Okay, I think tomorrows canary should fix your issue. You might see what happens on Dev channel. Can you upload a picture of your audio midi setup speaker configuration?
,
Feb 28 2017
Not sure what to make a picture of. It's just plug and play in Mac. The sound card doesn't need to be installed, nor does it need any drivers. I just connect it and select it in the "Output" section of sound, system preferences. Audio seems to only be sent to channels 1 and 2 of 4 though.

If you click the configure speakers button you should get the ability to choose how audio data is routed.
,
Mar 1 2017
Ah now I see, you were referring to the "Audio Midi Setup" Software. I never used that. Here are the images you requested earlier.
