Focus and givie name to a new created file when creating new file from devtool workspce

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3021.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. add folder to workspce 2. right click the folder just added and select `New file` 3. new file is created with the default name `NewFile` but the file name is not been focused to let we rename it What is the expected behavior? the new created file should be focused in the treeview that we can give it a name What went wrong? the file content is focused instead of the file name Did this work before? Yes chrome stable v56.0.2924.87 and chrome canary 58.0.3012.0 Chrome version: 58.0.3021.0 Channel: canary OS Version: OS X 10.12.2 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0

updated to the lasted Version 58.0.3022.3 and still can reproduce. here's the screen recording.

Looks like something in devtools is stealing focus, but I still fail to repro. Any more details, maybe? Could it be there's a watchdog in the background or something?

A tool called `watchdog` or something else? If there's a tool, a link should help and I will see how to use it and try to provide more details.

Watchdog is basically anything which sits in the background, observes files on the filesystem and reacts somehow on any changes. Any chance you have something like that which gets triggered as you create a new file in devtools?

I use https://pypi.python.org/pypi/watchdog this to watch the file system and here's the screen cast. See if the log in the terminal helps.

Still failing to repro this on Chrome 65 Canary Speculatively closing this unless we have a good repro steps. |
