Smarttech SMART Notebook causes Chrome to become nonresponsive when share screen is selected in Hangouts or Bb Collaborate Ultra

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Download and open SMART Notebook (https://education.smarttech.com/products/notebook) 2. Launch Google Hangouts or Blackboard Collaborate Ultra 3. In Hangouts select Share Screen or in Bb Collab Ultra select Share Application > Just an Application What is the expected behavior? Expect the application picker to show, What went wrong? The application picker does not show and Chrome becomes unresponsive. WebStore page: WebRTC Desktop Sharing Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 Seems to be related to Issue 590753 https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=590753 No crash report in chrome://crashes and no additional information in the javascript console (for Blackboard Collaborate Ultra). Testing on Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, the issue does not occur on Mac, or in Firefox, or when selecting to view the entire screen in Chrome. Issue only occurs on Windows, in Chrome, when using the application picker.

Able to reproduce this issue on Mac 10.12.2, Win-10 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version #56.0.2924.87 and latest canary #58.0.3024.0. This is a non-regression issue as it is observed from M35 old builds.(using WebRTC Desktop Sharing) Hence, marking it as untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks...!! |
