Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.54 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. start typing a URL of a URL you've visited before/regularly 2. omnibox is never populated with the most likely option. the matching urls are listed in a dropdown list below the omnibox, but the most likely option isn't autocompleted in the address bar 3. you have to use the arrows/mouse to select the right option rather than just press enter What is the expected behavior? the most likely option would be shown in the address bar where you're typing so you just press enter What went wrong? now you have to use the arrows/mouse to select the right option rather than just press enter. the predicted url should populate the omnibox rather than you having to select it Did this work before? Yes Previous beta version Chrome version: 57.0.2987.54 Channel: beta OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0

Unable to reproduce this issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest Beta M57-57.0.2987.74 by following steps mentioned in the original comment, observed the URL prediction in omnibox for the most visited webpages is working fine as expected. cole.simon@ As per comment #1 could you please check chrome://predictors, If any of the prediction is not working as expected from the list please name them for further triaging. Thanks!

I updated to Version 57.0.2987.74 and it's working fine again. chrome://predictors is working as expected. Functionality is back to normal. Not sure if it was upgrading to version .74 or a PC restart??

I should mention that this also happened on another PC as well. My work PC, after it happened at home I held out restarting Chrome so the same thing didn't happen at work as it was super annoying. I had to restart and the exact same thing happend there. Updating to .74 fixed it at work too. |
