Non-Regression:Filter box expands while moving console tab of dev tools to LHS

Version: 58.0.3017.0 Dev
OS: Ubuntu 14.04,Windows

(1)Launch google chrome and navigate to the Chrome://md-settings.
(2)press f12,Navigate to the console of devtools.
(3)Drag the dev tools window to the LHS and observe

Note:Expand Issue is seen in console tab filter only.

Expected:Filter box should not be able to resize while moving to LHS.

Actual:Filter box is resizing when moving to LHS of dev tools.

This is non-regression issue, seen from 'M 58' (58.0.3000.0) newly added feature.

Doesn't look like anything's wrong about this behavior. Filter box is free to grow as far as there's a lot of space!
