Chromium mirror of snappy years behind GitHub version |
|||
Issue descriptionWhat steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Visit https://github.com/google/snappy (2) Visit https://chromium.googlesource.com/external/snappy/ (3) Compare the most recent commits What is the expected result? The commits should be equal, or should differ by at most a couple of days. What happens instead? GitHub has 2d99bd14d471664758e4dfdf81b44f413a7353fd which corresponds to release 1.1.4, from January 2017. Chromium's mirror has f6a298d7c7ddcfdae824649a61408bcf6b334d92 which corresponds to release 1.1.2, from February 2014. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. I'm willing to do the work needed to get the repo back up to speed, if someone from infra can help me learn what the work is. IndexedDB uses snappy, and we'd really like to benefit from the performance optimizations in the latest releases.

This is a git admin task

So I think what happened is exactly what pwnall suggested; snappy moved from SVN to git. I'll make a new standard github mirror at https://chromium.googlesource.com/external/github.com/google/snappy/
