URL is not in selected state when tapped on omnibox with voiceover : on |

Issue descriptionApp Version: 57.0.2987.57 dev iOS Version: 10.2.1, 9.3.5 Device: iPhone, iPad URL: Open any URL Precondition: Device Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> VoiceOver -> On Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch chrome. 2. Open any URL 3. Tap on omnibox --> Double tap on it. Observed results: Notice that the URL in omnibox box is not in selected state. Yes. The issue still reproducible on latest chrome beta version 60.0.3112.49. Checked on iPhone 6s with iOS 10.3.2 and iPad Air with iOS 10.3.2

This looks like an intentional behaviour: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/ios/chrome/browser/ui/omnibox/omnibox_text_field_ios.mm?q=enterPreEditState&sq=package:chromium&dr=C&l=391 It's easy to fix, but then there must be a reason it was added? Should we keep this as is?

This issue is also reproducible on iOS 11.4.1, 12.0.1, checked on chrome beta version 70.0.3538.58. |
