Cut, Copy, Paste is not working in contenteditable field.

THIS TEMPLATE IS FOR FILING BUGS ON THE ANDROID SYSTEM WEBVIEW. GENERAL WEB
BUGS SHOULD BE FILED USING A DIFFERENT TEMPLATE!

Device name: LG G5, Nexus 5X
Android version: 6.0 and 7.0
WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView):56.0.2924.87
Application:LG Email composer
Application version:

URLs (if applicable):



Steps to reproduce:
(1) Install the attached APK.
(2) Type some text-> long press on the text-> select "Bold/Italics/Underline" option from bubble popup -> In the sample bubble instance, Select "Copy"
(3) Now try to paste the content->Observe nothing is pasted, because text is not copied in the step 2.

Expected result:
Text should be copied

Actual result:
Text is not copied

Attached the sample app and source code. 

This issue is happening with both latest Android system webview(MOS) and chrome browser stable app(NOS)versions 56.0.2924.87


This issue is working fine on the previous stable system webview/ chorome version : 55.0.2883.91

Basically we are calling performContextMenuAction API of inputconnection for cut/copy operation.

Works in 57.0.2987.74, which is in beta now.

it's indeed broken in m56 though. so fyi

Also trunk behavior is different yet again. The action bar is dismissed after an action like bold, but selection is not dismissed, so it's a bit awkward to make the action bar come back again.

OK.  Seems like Copy action mostly works in normal case and only broken in this specific case, so let's wait for the fix to roll out in 57.
